Problem:
In this illustration brief, I was asked to produce one spot illustration and one full-page illustration to accompany an article by The Guardian. The article titled 'change the world' discusses the work of activist Greta Thunberg and the current state of the climate.
Insight:
I approached this project by initially reading through the article and brainstorming ideas. From this I could then create thumbnail sketches and visual idealizations, narrowing them down to two final illustrations.
Solution:
My aim was to create illustrations that conveyed the important environmental message of the article but also had satirical elements, consistent with the tone of voice of The Guardian.
