Horrible Herstories is predominantly aimed at young girls with an emerging interest in history. This publication aims to nurture this interest in history while telling it from a feminist viewpoint, free from social and historical inaccuracy and judgement. Parents are also very interested in the idea of ​​having a magazine to entertain their children without resorting to technology, all while teaching them and suggesting creative activities offline.
We aim to help critical thinking and creativity, acting as a fundamental tool to educate and re-evaluate the ways in which women are portrayed in history. With this as a learning tool, we hope to encourage others to critically think about the ways in which women are presented in the present.
Each cover is designed to look as if it is part of one set. Therefore every cover follows a similar compositional layout and design, varying only in colour, typography and illustration elements.
